Hi, my name is Dan Cahl and my journey started in 2020, with a phone call no one wants to hear. You have stage 3 melanoma skin cancer. One of the scariest things I have ever heard. The confusion, emotions, and disbelief behind it all left me at one road, trust God. After surgery and treatment I was cancer free, then in 2022 you here those words, its back. This time with grace and positivity and a team behind me I was ready to use my faith and my trust in God once again to get me through this. Trusting his ways and the ways of my Dr's, surgery again and another treatment plan. In 2025 almost 3 years cancer free and a CT scan showed an enlarged lymph node. They said its back again. For me I said not long!!!! I have a bigger God and more faith than anything. In June 2025 we started a new treatment plan and the first one was down, another to go then surgery to remove it. Surgery in August of 2025 to remove the lymph node that had the melanoma. Now here we are 2026, radiation behind me, treatments almost done, and blood work from Natera showing no melanoma cancer cells in my body, Praise God!!!! Still to this day I have more faith and peace than ever before and I know my God is right here with me. I have a wife (Sunshine) that never loses hope and is my rock, my children that know I don't believe in quit, family, friends and supporters behind me, and my Church group of brothers right here with me. And I know my Lord has me, is with me, and I am trusting his will and way because he never fails. With peace and faith at my side, my family and a honey badger determination we will overcome this. To God be the Glory, and all praise to Him!!!
