Melanoma is the deadliest and fastest-growing form of skin cancer, and every day brings us one step closer to finding a cure. Miles for Melanoma is an opportunity for people to come together, take action, and support the fight against melanoma through the mission of the Melanoma Research Foundation.

If you know me, you know that I lost one of my closest friends to melanoma in 2023. She was one of the brightest lights in my life. Even during the toughest times, she carried a smile that could light up any room she walked into. She always reminded me to keep pushing through the hard days, find myself, and lead with love.

For a long time, I’ve been afraid to run again. But hearing her words in the back of my mind has given me the courage to take this step. I’m running this race in her honor, and for myself as well.
