2026 Seattle Miles for Melanoma - Keri's Story & Goal
The cure for melanoma is within reach, thanks to research!
I have had No Evidence of Disease (NED) for 17 yrs now after being diagnosed w Stage IV Metastatic Melanoma in 2009…thanks to people like you donating your time and money to research for groundbreaking immunotherapies that save lives, like mine!
Please know that 93% of melanomas are thought to be caused by exposure to UV light from the sun and indoor tanning - making sun safety one of the most important steps we can take to REDUCE risk.
Please learn from my story: it could save your life.
1. Always wear sunscreen/protective clothing when you're in the sun.
2. Avoid sunburns at all costs and NEVER use tanning beds.
3. MOST importantly, make yearly appointments with a Board-Certified dermatologist and get a full body check.
Come "JOIN Keri's TEAM" on Oct. 4th, 2026, at Marymoor Park in Redmond, or "DONATE NOW" to help Melanoma Research Foundation continue to fund research of cancer fighting immunotherapies. Lives are being saved, thanks to these types of efforts!
Thank you :-)
