Why I'm participating.
I didn't know just how serious Melanoma was until a dear friend was diagnosed in the summer of 2024. Seeing the surgeries, treatment, and recovery journey she went through, and the courage and strength she displayed, taught me so much about this disease, and now I will do whatever I can to support her and other survivors. When she asked me to join her team for the Miles for Melanoma race in July, I enthusiastically said "yes."

The cure for melanoma begins with all of us.
Melanoma is the deadliest and fastest-growing form of skin cancer, with no current cure. Miles for Melanoma is a way for people to come together to take action and support this fight and the Melanoma Research Foundation's mission. Significant advancements have been made in the past few years in improved detection, new drug treatments, and better survival rates. This progress has been built on breakthroughs in fighting other cancers, as well as the existing foundation of melanoma research.
