In Memory of Eddie Symmonds

We are walking with Miles for Melanoma to honor the memory of our dear friend, son, brother, uncle and Father, Edward “Eddie” Symmonds, whose strength, courage, and spirit continue to inspire us every single day.

Melanoma is one of the fastest-growing forms of skin cancer. While meaningful progress has been made in early detection, innovative treatments, and improving survival rates, there is still so much work to be done. Every step we take brings us closer to better treatments, and ultimately, a cure.

Miles for Melanoma brings together patients, survivors, families, friends, and caregivers, united in support of the Melanoma Research Foundation and its vital mission to end melanoma.

Every dollar raised fuels life-saving research. Every stride carries hope. Every step matters.

Ed absolutely loved this event last year and was so excited to participate again. He was deeply moved by the incredible turnout, by the community that showed up to support melanoma patients and the fight for a cure. We miss him more than words can express, and his absence will be felt heavily on this day and every day. But we know he will be smiling down on all of us, grateful for every person who shows up to make a difference.
