Melanoma is the deadliest and fastest-growing form of skin cancer, and we all want a cure to be found soon. I was diagnosed in June of 2022, and finished treatment after a successful surgery in August 2023.

Due to cuts by the current administration, it is up to us to find a cure. The National Cancer Institute (NCI) budget has been decreased by almost 40% from the current fiscal year. fightcancer.org

Many grants have been terminated: more than 1,800 grants were terminated between February and June 2025, with about $8 billion less obligation toward new and existing grants in that period.
