Quest for a Cure
The cure for melanoma begins with me.
Hi!! I'm Crystal and this year my family and I are participating in Miles for Melanoma held Sunday October 5, 2025. It has been some time since we last, physically, participated in this event. This year is different, with my brother back home from the Army, it just feels right to start our team, Quest for Cure, again! As some of you may know, I lost my father from Melanoma July 2005. Thus, I hold this event near and dear to my heart.
To this day Melanoma continues to be the deadliest and fastest growing form of skin cancer. I personally would LOVE to one day see a cure found. Miles for Melanoma is a great way for people to come together and take action towards that.
There has been significant advancement in the past few years such as improved detection, new drug treatments and better survival rates. I can affirm that treatment has advanced and am honored to be working at a clinic that provides TIL therapy for Melanoma patients. This kind of progress has been built on the breakthroughs made fighting other types of cancers, as well as the existing foundation of melanoma research.
Yet, there is more to be done and a long way to go, but the finish line is in sight! The energy, enthusiasm and encouragement from patients, survivors, families, friends, caregivers, and the medical community impacts many lives and many future. Your help and support for this fight and the mission of the Melanoma Research Foundation is greatly appreciated!
Lastly, my family and I would love your support in either participating, volunteering and/or donating in honor of my father, all the patients that are fighting the great fight and for all those who have lost their lives. Thank you! :)
Step up and donate to Miles for Melanoma today.
