Melanoma is the deadliest and fastest growing form of skin cancer, and we all want a cure to be found soon. Miles for Melanoma is a way for people to come together to take action and support the mission of the Melanoma Research Foundation.

This year, I created Miles for Michele in honor of Michele, who is currently facing stage 4 melanoma with strength and determination. Her journey reminds us every day why awareness, research, and funding are so important.

Every step matters and every step counts. Significant progress has been made in recent years with improved detection, new drug treatments, and better survival rates. These advances have come from the tireless work of researchers and the support of communities like ours, but there is still more to be done.

The finish line is in sight, and together we can help get there. The energy, enthusiasm, and encouragement from patients, survivors, families, friends, caregivers, and the medical community continue to drive progress and bring hope for the future.
